Old records show that sometimes these would be held at stone circles – but where we know this occurred, it’s best to check them under the ‘Stone Circles’ category. Many times, moots were held under old trees, on hillsides, rock outcrops, and other places. Legal judgements were also made at moots which, once passed by the elders of the tribe/s, became lawful.
